Oils & Fats · Food pairing guide
What goes with Grapeseed Oil?
Refined grapeseed oil is an almost neutral liquid fat whose main contribution is structure and lubrication. It has neither grape sweetness nor wine acidity. The restrained flavour makes it useful in emulsions when the liquid phase should remain clear. Cold-pressed versions can be more seed-like, so the two forms should not be substituted without tasting the finished preparation.

Pairing principles
What pairs well with Grapeseed Oil?
Use grapeseed oil when a controlled emulsion, thin coating or soft cereal cream is the intended result. Lemon, prepared mustard and garlic give clear familiar directions. More elaborate applications should give the dispersed fat a defined job, such as softening a concentrated dashi cream or supporting an aerated grain preparation; simply frying a novel ingredient in it adds little.
